Beginning Fall 2022, the College of Public Health and Health Professions is pleased to offer undergraduate students across campus the opportunity to pursue an Artificial Intelligence in Public Health and Healthcare certificate. The certificate requires 9 credits and is comprised of three courses. The Artificial Intelligence in Public Health and Healthcare certificate is for those seeking to acquire fundamental knowledge, ethical decision-making, and applied skills in artificial intelligence applications in public health practice and healthcare settings.
Students must be at junior or senior level standing and have earned STA2023 or an approved equivalent.
- PHC3793 Higher Thinking for Healthy Humans: AI in Healthcare and Public Health (3 credits, offered Fall)
- PHC3621 Ethics in Artificial Intelligence: Who’s Protecting Our Health (3 credits, offered Spring)
- PHC4792 Data Visualization in the Health Sciences (3 credits, offered Spring)
How to Apply
To apply for the Artificial Intelligence in Public Health and Healthcare certificate, please submit the required certificate application. Make sure to wait until you’re enrolled in at least one of the three certificate courses before submitting the application.
