The BPH allows quite a bit of flexibilty for your academic career. You may look at completing a dual degree, minor(s), or certificate(s). You can start public health coursework once you’ve completed the prerequisites required for PHC 4101 or HSA 3111. **Remember to review your Audit regularly to see what courses you need!
Below you’ll see snapshots of what a semester may look like as a public health major. You will want to use this as a blueprint to your personal academic four year plan. Where you see “General Education Credits” you may be using those credits to complete prerequisites, dual degree requirements, minor or certificate coursework. As stated above, review your Audit to ensure you’re completing requirements toward your 120 credits each semester. To speak about specific prerequisites you may need for graduate/professional school you will want to meet with an advisor.
If you are on a pre-health track, you can use the Pre Health Requirement Chart to help you identify prerequisites for your intended profession.
If you are interested in a BPH/MPH Combined Degree, you will need to apply a minimum of a year before completing your BPH.
Required
